i didn't find a thread on this one - so here it is.

    WAKING LIFE

this American production /animation movie really is one top watch.
it tells the story of a kid, walking arround his town, talking to poeple or hearing poeple talk about subject's like, Dreaming, karma, psychology, ego/loss, faith and all that jazz ...

i consider it one of those spiritual movies or 'movies with a meaning' - but this one is way cooler than let's say 'what the bleep do we know' ... cause i really hated that one :p .

this one is cool in visuals, cool story and very nice in spoken words

get it from your local videostore!

waking life is a great film

the idea is to remain in a constant state of departure, while always arriving

Very fine movie. Much better than Slacker (which I also liked).

If you liked "Waking Life," be sure to check out "The Cruise," a documentary about Speed Levitch (the man with the fro on the bridge) that is just one pure orgasmic experience of mind-blowing innovative thought. I actually think it is much better than Waking Life, and much more relevent.

Be sure to pay attention to his comments about the Twin Towers, keeping in mind the documentary was made prior to the 9/11 attacks.

I didn't really like Waking Life. I love Richard Linklater though. He's coming out with a new movie this Friday called "A Scanner Darkly" and its made with the same painted over film affect. I'm excited :)

This movie was really good, I just picked it up form the library after seeing this thread and wow Im now starting to try and remember and take a more active role in my dreams. Realizing that your dreaming is the hard part, it seems as soon as I realize its a dream and I can do what I want I wake up with excitement.

I liked it. I haven't seen it in a while... But I remember thinking it was one of the more original movies I'd ever seen.
