I'm almost done with this specific item i'm drawing. When i'm finshed i plan on spraying crystal clear over it and painting it, but i'm not sure yet. I want some opinions on whether i should paint it or not first.

I'm thinking....maybe you should paint only parts of it to emphasize some things you otherwise wouldn't notice. Like all those lines (especially in the second picture) but that might be hard since they connect with everything else almost. well I'm rambling, so I say either paint a little or don't paint at all.

and by the way, I can't wait to see it finished. you're doing an amazing job! :)

Yeah i'm thinking that in order to make those lines stand out more i'll just shade a light black haze of smoke comming from behind it.

i am your number one fan/admirer, do what you must, but i voted to leave it! to many times i have completed a work of art and then decided it wasnt enough and added to it....i always regreted it, wishing i had left it alone.

Thanks. But if you, and other people are worried about me messing it up by painting it i don't think i will. There is a chance, but i'm pretty sure if i do it right then i'll be able to erase the paint if i don't like it. I'm going to spray krystal clear over it first and that will act as a protector so the lead want smear. Then paint over that. Once before when i did that i didn't spray enough in one place and tried to erase the paint in that area and it smeared into the wall below. I was able to match the color of the wall and paint over the smear where i proceeded to fix it.

I've been thinking about it, and even though like 90% of you voted for me to leave it, i think i'm going to paint it anyways. I'm going to be sure this time to spray an extra amount of spray on it first this time. I've really got a good idea for painting it this time. I'm going too mix colors unlike that last wall drawing/painting i did. I think it would just look unfinished if i didn't paint it.

I'm thinking this wall drawing/krystal clear/painting process i've been using lately is a new style of art. Btw does anyone know if this is a new style that i have made up, or not? In this way, if you're not the best painter like i, you you can do much better with painting because you only have to focus on mixing colors rather then colors with black and white. When i'm painting i get the white and black all smeared in with each other and it's a real pain. Also after using the black i have to wash the brush off really good before i got to using the white with colors, and vice versa. It just takes way to much time. With this i don't have to worry about shading because i've already done that with pencil. Well i'm talking to much. Peace

i also think you should maybe add some color to some of the details. not to let the color overwhelm it, but to make some parts stand out more. or just leave it. i love it either way.

I'm going to get started painting it today probably. I sprayed an extra amount of krystal clear over it so i think i will be able to erase the paint if i don't like it.

.....without paint, it demands the close scutiny that a work of this excellence needs. If you paint it, it will begin it's slide into being, "just another painting." Please don't paint it, this way it is YOURS, beautiful, thoughtful, and original to the last degree. Yours alone! Anyone can add paint- this can stand alone. (I better shut up before I get carried outta here, sorry.)
