Not a very nice way of putting it but I wonder the level of mixed messages you're sending. Maybe figuring out exactly what your expectations will be from other people before entering a relationship. Is feminism something you adopt as a matter of convenience? A gallant act of chivalry would be taken as an insult by many self-proclaimed feminists. My compassion goes to your bf.

 

In my life, I have met very few feminists; and a whole lot of women who wanted to have their cake and eat it too.
