I am in IL, in the Champaign/Urbana area, and I'm looking for someone to help me section and backcomb. Anyone out there who wants to spend the day messing with my hair?
If I thought I could do it myself, I wouldn't have posted... My hair is down past the middle of my back, and very thick and curly. I don't think doing it myself would work very well.
If your hair is thick, long and curly you'd be nuts to backcomb. I'd go neglect...they'd probably dread faster, too and you'd bypass those silly backcombed phases where they look like something went terribly awry. I know I wish I'd gone neglect along while ago, when I had backcombed sets. My hair is curly and this time my hair looks so much healthier and stronger going neglect...backcombing does a lot of damage and looks its worst in months 2-8 or so....I'd definitely just go the easy route and throw away your comb...
Do you have a friend or family member? Probablly a safer bet than recruiting peeps off the interent to come to your home and play with your hair...you might get stabbed. Cheers.
