    hey now

I am looking to support the local mama's of this here site...who has some sweet homemade plus sized dresses or apron tops for sale? I am a 48 across the bust and prefer to have little to no back showing.... if possible (for now as I have been losing weight, thus the need for new dresses!!!)

I can use paypal...... you can email me at stella.blue@gmail.com

    thanks

I hope someone finds some cuz i would be interested too!! I'm tall and just BIG in general and it's a bitch to find good clothes that make me happy. I wear anything from an 18 to a 22.

I know that Eyesofthewhirled makes clothes for us bigger ladies, but she isn't on the forums much at the moment as she is getting married this month.

I have seen photos of her clothes, they are well made and look great, you could always send her a pm and ask when she'll be sewing again.

Otherwise the Gypsy Rose catalogue does a few things in XXL which fit me, I am an English size twenty two.

Good luck, and if you find any one who specialises in clothes for the generously proportioned be sure and let us all know:)

I have this printed patchworks skirt that's a 3x. I bought it because I thought 3X meant I was bidding on three skirts.... I don't know what I was thinking... I get ebay stupid. I was going to cut it up and make it smaller. It isn't handmade, though, so I don't know if you'd want it.

    Hey girls [IMG] ~

I usually make my dresses about 30-40 inches or about 35-45 inches in the bust... (All of them adjust about 10 inches) but I go a few inches above or below those ranges all the time so you might also easily find something 38-48 inches on the site. ~*Keep in mind this is the measurement across the largest part of your bust & is not your bra size*~

With the style of dress I make I can't really go much larger than that cause they aren't very good for the girls with larger chests. But the sizes you girls mentioned didn't sound like you would have much trouble with the dresses....

As for skirts I make all sorts of sizes & those are really adjustable too. The measurement for the skirts is the size of you hips because you have to be able to slip the skirt on & then tighten it. But I also make a lot of apron skirts which will fit pretty much anyone & can be worn over a skirt, dress, or pants that you already have.

I am like in the L-XL large range & it is such a pain to find anything that fits!! Especially in catalogs & such... if you are a larger size they just figure you are very tall or something. [IMG] Best of luck in your search!!

This dress is awesome. I've been sewing all my life but I've never really tried appliques. I guess I'm just intimidated with them. Care to share any tips. I would love a dress like that.

Someone on here a few weeks ago had some awesome patchie pants in a large size. I wanted them but just couldn't come up with the money at the time. If you still have them, could you post about them again.

And yes, that was me on the SB forum. Like they say, We Are Everywhere.

Congrats on the wedding. Hope you have a beautiful and blessed day.
