Wanted: traveling/hiking group

I posted this earlier on the backpackers forum:

I'm looking for some adventure. I need to join a small group of individuals who just want to set out and see some outside life, starting on the Appalachian Trail, or any other large trails across the country. It would be a good way to become acquainted with others, and under beautiful, peaceful, conditions. I'm old enough to be out of school, and young (and hardheaded) enough to follow my ambitions fully. I'm looking for others the same way. I have some hiking experience, as well as a decent knowledge of flora and fauna. I'm laid back and optimistic, but with enough common sense to keep me alive. So, I'm willing to join a similar group, or create a new one with like-minded persons. I'm just itching to get out there! Soon too, no two year+ waits!
