Is there anything that is water soluble that will not slow down the locking process significantly and will tame frizzies? As I've said before, once I begin the dread process (aug 10th), I want them to look relatively presentable from day one. I've read on here something about aloe.. does this require one to have an entire aloe plant in their home, or is there something I can buy at the store that will achieve the same results without harming my future dreadlets?
    :cheers2:

YeahI hear aloe came tame frizzies. You can either grow it in your home, or you can just buy it in a bottle from the store....I would make sure it's natural.

just put the plant in a window that gets sun exposure, and forget to water it sept once a week or two depending on the pot. honestly aloe plants are worth having around.

yeah, it really does, i second the motion. haha. try to surf aloe plant, its a thick plant that holds gel inside, which is called "aloe vera". vera is the latin word for "true"(veracity). which then translates to, literally, true aloe.

yeah, aloe is definitely a gel. i need to get me a plant. not for my dreads, as i don't put anything in em cause i don't care about frizzies anymore (no longer have uptight job, lol) but it's really great on burns, and i always seem to be burnin' the shit out of meself!

Aloe plants are funny in my home. It was burglarised a couple years ago and among a lot of other things they stole my aloe plant. Also my 4yo son is crazy terrified of aloe.

But anyway, I use a teensy tiny bit of coconut oil. I warm it in my hands and sorta pat it onto my hair.

Aloe comes out as a somewhat sticky jelly when you squeeze it out of the plant. I would suggest buying your own aloe plant, that way you know it's 100% and you'll save on buying stuff that might not be. :)
