I spent a few days without playing with my yarn!! And instead created a Wedding Cake ...For my cousin and her husband. They got married in Jamaica in January, and celebrated last night with a reception.
I grew up making cakes, it is really second nature to me, and I love doing it!! My mom couldn't make it this time, so I volunteered! It was a coconut cake, and I put toasted coconut arount the edges, and had a coconut flavored butter cream frosting on it!!!

So it is just another "craft" of sorts for you all to look at!!!

It is the picture that is a little off!! Not the cake..Thank Goodness!!:)

Well thanks alot, Im stuck at a truck stop and you know the cake items they are gonna have here, stale old little debbie, or nasty cakes or some other item that would be better suited to make homes with than eat. Man that sounded yummy and really looked to good to eat, was far too nice! So you can cook like no other, crafty, looks like a wonderful mommy, damn if you clean your other half is a lucky lucky person.

Agian great cake and Im off to get some lame ass carrot cake brick.

Wow, that's awesome! Do you bake cakes a lot? I'm really into doing theme cakes. I think it would be great to get into doing something like that for a living, you did a great job!

Thanks everyone!! I grew up making cakes! My mother started doing it when I was a year old! So I just picked up on it very easily. I also have a degree in Culinary Arts. I worked in restaurants, and resorts my whole life, until I became a mom. unfortunately being a mom, and a professional chef do not mix. The hours would be brutal, and I wouldn't want someone else to raise my little ones!
So one day I may go back to my first love!!!:)
