k... I'm sure someone has asked this before... but I'd like to know. I went to Amsterdam years ago... and was told at a coffieshop.. that dont buy sweet tea, because the sugar in the tea will lessen the hcl effects. Something about the sugar metablising.. or something... I have medical clearance here in ca, and have tried the brownies .. cronic.. not real tasty, and even the suckers, which kinda gave me a sore throat. but was wondering why they mix the high sugar w/ the marijuana... is the news i heard in Amsterdam incorrect?

    Thanks for clearing this up

  5. As a medical user myself, I have researched this subject carefully. When volunteering at the Cannabis College in Amsterdam, Lorna the directress, taught me that smoking cannabis actually LOWERS your blood sugar.

I have seen this in action many times in Amsterdam coffesshops (I lived there for eight years...). On many occasions we would be having a get-together and watch some newbie come in and get wasted, on an empty stomach.

It's not too amusing to watch someone just fall over and faint. This is a result of their blood sugar dropping to very low levels. The coffeshops are hip to this and keep powdered sugar on hand for this reason... a glass of water with sugar dissolved in it will bring one right back from that sensation of being out of control... and weak.

So go ahead and eat those delicious pot brownies, and realize that the sugar is not going to interfere with your high, but give you the strength you might want to stay awake and party heartier...

    Peace,
    ~Payaso

Thanks sooooo much Payaso, for clearing that up. I'm actually glad to hear that. I'm one of those southern nuts here in the States, that can't have tea without sugar.LOL (sweetTea being a southern food group [IMG]) and I gotta admit the rootbeer cronic suckers are awesome! Thanks again.
