weezer sells out again.....

I heard on the radio that weezer decided to go along with changing the lyrics to "We are all on drugs" to be more mtv friendly. those lyrics were changed to "We are all in Love". wtf....... nothin like selling out your music, just for a little rotation on trl........ my god.

I guess in the video, it still looks as if they are lipsynching to "we are all on drugs" but its overdubbed as saying "we are all in love"......... man, it almost sounds like the doors and the stones changing lyrics so that they could be on ed sullivan....... that was almost 40 years ago...... still bands and television are doing this??

 

ugh... and... ugh. mass media sucks

 

i never was a big fan of them even back in the day, i say screw em

 

I used to like them....but that first single off their new album made me sick....that was just awful

 

thats why i only listen to the blue album and pinkerton

 

if anything, i think that thats a (slight) improvement

By the way, that crappy Beverly Hills song is the only bad song off of their new album.. but it is such a bad song, especially when that harmonica comes in. Anybody know what in the hell they were thinking when they recorded that?

 

I took the whole thing tongue in cheek......... I dont think you were supposed to take it seriously...... I think they are mocking everyone with that whole hollywood vibe

 

OMG OMG you have to be kidding me......who gives a fuck. Obviously they are going to get airtime on either the television or radio and you all already know how much music is censored on a nationally broadcasted level....so of course the lyrics will be altered to suit the needs of those who listen. Big fuckin deal.

You shouldn't have to change your music to suit anybody else's need. If you made it the way you did and released it, why change it? Oh yeah....MONEY.

Ok, first of all. I'm a Weezer fan. I haven't heard anything about this.... but I also don' pay attention to radio and MTV. Secondly, Weezer's lead singer is becoming a somewhat devout Buddhists.. honestly, he lives in an apartment and really his possesions are limited to like a spoon. So I don't believe they are selling out.

 

Damn Weezer was the shit.. a long long time ago.
