why wont you have part in the baby's life? If you're paying then you should be involved. Has this been legally determined? Maybe she's just saying that to make you agonize over it? Have you done something to prevent you from seeing the child? If you havent then its bullshit ...

 

i say fuck that. Have the child support set up in such a way that it goes directly to the kid...I think that can be done everywhere; at least, it can be done here. And if you pay child support, youdo have the right to see your child; she can't have the best of both worlds, you know/

 

Not to discredit anybody here, but different rules and regulations apply everywhere. For instance as AshtonsMom said, where she is if you pay child support you're entitled to see your child. Here, however, if you're dumb enough to pay child support and not go file for visitation, seperately, then you wont be seeing your kid.

Contact a laywer and get a consultation. If you can't be proven as an unfit parent she cannot keep you from your child. The only way she can do that is to leave your name off of the birth certificate, and in that case you owe no child support.

Once again, contact a laywer and have him advise you of your rights and what you need to be doing.
