Well it definitely was unidentified

I just discovered this forum and thought I'd post something bizarre that happened in my world.

This happened about 3 years ago. I was living with my mom at the time and just got out of work. It was around 3:30 am and my mom kinda lives out in the middle of nowhere. I decided to take a shortcut through Hoosier Valley, which is a large group of woods that go on for miles with many paths and dirt roads. There are rumors of Hoosier Valley being haunted. I'm not sure if that's true or not but I do know that a lot of people have died in these woods, including my dad's ex girlfriend many years ago (70's). But this is not a ghost story.

This is actually a case of an unidentified flying object. I remember as soon as I turned into hoosier valley, I immediately saw something floating in the air. It was bright blue and about the size of (the appearance) a full moon. It was not moving and it did not leave my site the entire drive home. Driving through Hoosier takes about 5 minutes but my mom lives just outside of the area. I made a right and drove out of the valley. Within a couple minutes I was home.

I stepped outside my car and this bright blue ball in the sky was not moving. It didn't move one bit. But I was the only person who was awake in the neighborhood to see this. It looked more like it was almost above my moms house. It was very close.

I walked into my house and wanted to keep a close look on this thing. I was cooking and I used the computer while staring out the window. This blue thing stayed in the sky for about an hour without moving. Suddenly (after an hour) I saw it change. The electric blue color switched to white. It stayed white for about 10 seconds then switched back to blue. Then it turned white again, only to turn back to blue after another 10 seconds, til finally the thing faded away completely. It did not come back and it was just dark. I have never seen anything like this before. I wasn't scared and I'm not sure if it would be life from another planet since it wasn't moving and I didn't see several lights coming from it. But maybe it was?

 

Earthlights ?

Is it an area that suffers from seismic activity ? These things often seem to appear around the time of earth quakes, tremors, etc.

The assumption being that they're somehow a by-product of seismic activity.

 

It might have been the government testing new flying machines,but I doubt it.
