yes I agree. When a mother for intstant allowes her child to have a tattoo and that child takes one just becaus she's aloud to and most children aren't, is very stupid, no matter what age. but a child from 16 can decide wich however she wants one or not. (i'm very sorry if my english's bad. )
im 16 and im getting my first tat next month, ive wanted one for years but my parents finally feel that im mature enough to have one. Its all about knowing that you are gonna have something for life(or until u raise the couple g's for removal) and accepting that.
when you have realised that you are not as mature as you think you are and get over trying to be someone you may not be. Its hard coming to that point and many never do.
Oh, I don't care, It's a good way to practice. At least you're trying - I'm not trying to speak....., what is your native language?
anythign under 18 is too young. You need parental permission if you're under 18... I do think it's the right age. yes, there are a few kids who are mature enough to get one done before hand - hence the parental permission thing. I was 18 when I got mine done.
It's hard to say really because I think at any young age, 16-21 we all change and grow so much and something that we thought we would be happy to except forever at 16 becomes something very much disliked by 24 (yes Im talking about me here) But some folks are ready at 16.....I wouldn't say most are but then it's your body and you have to live with it so rock on.
My 2 cents, If you're living under your parents roof, and they don't want you to have one, then you're too young. Wait until you are financially independant. Part of maturity is handling your own responsibillities. If you're parents are cool with it, they probably feel you're ready. In which case, just remember its permamnent. I'd never get someo of the tattoos I wanted when I was 16 now. It'll probably be the same way looking back at being 21 when I'm 40, but I'm prepared to live with it.
If I had gotten the tattoo I wanted when I was 16, I would have totally regretted it. I still have a picture of it, and god, it was awful!:& I think 18 is a good age.
I dont know, i think when ever someones mature enough...definatly not below the age of 18, i dont see why people are in such a hurry to get a tat any ways...a friend of mine got his first tattoo at 13, and another at 14, he regrets at least one of them now...he's only 15....I'm more of a piercing person ne ways...but theres my 2 cents
I think anything younger then 18 is too young for a tattoo. Even 18 is a bit young.. Bodies be changing and growing lots so tattoo may be stretched and such
it depends on the person. i got mine at 13 and dont regret it. i may someday, but ill cross that bridge when i come to it.
My dad forgot my birthday when I was 15 and I guilt tripped him into getting me a tattoo to make it up to me...I was young so I picked on right off the wall. It is not at all what my taste is today...thank god its on my back and I can't see it. I would say wait until your in your 20's...you have plenty of time to decide and change your mind and redecide what you want
i have matured alot from the age of 15. i completely changed and now i am who i have always wanted to be. i'm 17 now and i will be getting my first tattoo next month. i know that it's not going to be a mistake becuase even if i change from the person i am now to some one else in the future i will remember where i came from, yeah know?
I think if you have to have your parents sign for you in order to get one, you are too young. I agree with some of the above posters. We change so much in our teenage years. What we like one day, we might not like the next. But to each his own, I suppose....
18....... i think its silly how you can get one when you are younger with your parents permission, that shouldnt be like that imo...cause i find it ridiculous when i see a 14 year old with a tat...
