i would assume they're similar to any meet up, except people are naked and there's probably more men than women. i am the proper weight for my height.
there will no doubt be lots of self consciousness for the beginner if s/he's not comfortable with their body. I had no problem going nude with others but I used to think I had a hot shit body and a dick that was obviously larger than many. these days my dick is still the same size but time and gravity have taken their toll on my physique. I don't care tho'. I 'll get my clothes of whenever there's a chance to. cheers!
Nudists are not so much concerned about bodily appearance, more often what is important is what's between their ears. Historically I've found beautiful (physically) people with the most dreadful, arrogant, smart and oppressive outlook and opinions, and those, including many with disabilities, to be the nicest and most down to earth that could be found, and I speak from long, long experience. If I was in your shoes (or barefoot!) forget about your personal appearance, march forth and prepare for a great chin wag and never judge a book by its cover.
Yeah, I agree with most of what is posted here..in addition my personal experiences have found that most of the groups tend to be 40+, mostly men and very friendly. The younger groups I have visited have been similarly accomodating but with a more 'sexual' edge. It's not a criticism, and it's only my experience. I would just decide what you want, maybe visit a couple of groups and find a crowd your comfortable with. Personally I'm more comfortable being nude with my friends and family who are predominantly non-nudist. They are openminded which of course helps a lot. I don't really like 'nudist' groups or organizations, it's all a bit uncomfortable for me Shayla x
My first time mingling with a lot of nude ppl (Other than the Atlanta Pop Festival July '70) was when I joined the South Florida Free Beaches. It was at a pool party at a member's house and was much fun and no self-conscious feelings at all. It is like any other party where you meet ppl and converse. Nudity becomes unnoticed. Luckily that got me ready for my first modeling gig at UM, where I was the only naked person in a room full of clothed ppl studying my bod in detail.
My family were occassional nudists and we used to go to camps and get naked but being a 15 yo chick with a developing body and shaved pussy older guys would always want to chat to me (and I guess do other things to me too) and some would get a hard on right there in front on me and just continue chatting while their eyes roamed over my naked body. More than once my mum rescued me.
