I'd call myself a mmorpger overall. With console games it's all about hackn' slash or RPG. I also have a weird weakness for silly little popcap or big fish games.

eco and infrastructure sims. a realistic infrastructure in/compatability with 'eco' sim that runs on the pc is something i'm still looking for. preferably in an online forum rather then an emersive mmo that requires broadband until the myraculous day should dawn that i find myself having it. damd near everything out there, and almost certainly because it's damd near the only thing that sells, which may be do to cultural factors influencing not only consumer priorities but motivations as to how well they are done on the part of their creators, seems to be some sort of conflict or competition sim. which there's nothing intrinsicly wrong with. only the tediusness to me, of their being such complete lack of support/resources in a gaming environment, for anything else. =^^= .../\...
rpg's and simulation... final fantasy diablo eve wow (though only the trial) guild wars sims2 etc. I want Spore so badly but they keep pushing back the date for it that im not sure its ever actually gonna come out at this point
eff first person shooters... well.. i dont like shoot em up games but i prefer a action/puzzle/adventure game that involves fast action first person shooting (aka metroid prime)
I enjoy FSP but I don't like army games. Maybe put a lightsaber in there somewhere or a zombie and I'll play it.
FPS are the way forward, period. Especially ONLINE FPS. Fuck, give me Counter Strike: Source over World of Warcraft ANY day!
Action & shooters are fun for awhile. RPG's are the best as the seem to last longer than other genre's.
If it's online against human competiton then i'm in! Solo play jus seems to easy, though General Ramm from GoW was pretty fuckin tricky especially on hardcore! But, to answer the actual question here would have to be, FPS, but i dont mind rpg's and anything with alot of customization in, well fuck, i like more or less all game types, if theyre done right!
I like action/adventure with some rpg elements most. Boring rpg's like Baldurs gate are just too much about beating everything and level up. I want a good story with it, so it makes some sense what you're doing.
