What do you want to be when you grow up...and will you smoke as an adult?

I want to be a kindergarden teacher. I'll probably smoke but who knows.

Why would anyone want to be homeless? I'm not trying to be bitchy...just curious.

Mainly, to be funny. But at least for a while, I'd like to just roam around, see the country. It'd be easier to do without obligations or commitments.

and being poor is only bad if you let it be. Poverty is simply being without money, doesn't have to be a horror story; many mystics are poor and very happy. Not saying I really want to be poor, but it really just depends on your intentions, expectations, needs and desires.

Haha I see. Jokes tend to fly over my head. :H

That's what sucks about the internet.. you can't hear tones and voices. Sometimes I wonder what people's voices sound like on here.

In the future I would like to do something in life with graphics (or any art actually) and combine it with philosophy.

Who knows if I would always be able to smoke, but at current times I hope that I would be able to keep smoking.

Of course this all depends on the number one goal in life...staying alive.

Well, I am grown up, so I'll just add a little bit of perspective from what I thought when I was a teenager compared to where I am now.

If you asked me when I was 16 about my career, I'd probably tell you a dozen different options depending on my mood and the day of the week. If you asked me about smoking, I'd say yes I'd always smoke and back then I'd probably tell you that I'd smoke everyday for the rest of my life. From age 16 until 26 or so, there were probably ten days total that I didn't smoke at all over all those years - maybe less than that actually. I sold pot here and there for part of that time and grew pot for a good five years during that stretch. Whatever the case, I smoked essentially everyday and more often than not multiple times a day for all those years.

Now as I close in on 30, I still smoke, but not everyday anymore. I don't grow anymore simply because of the felony tag that could damage my career. I smoke probably two days a week now, and I still love it. Sometimes its more, sometimes its less, but I always have it around the house if I want it.

In saying that, if you asked me about my lifelong smoking habbits when I was 16, I would've told you, I'll smoke everyday for the rest of my life. I probably will smoke for the rest of my life, its just not an everyday thing anymore, but I know I'll never 'quit' it, give it up for good. There's no reason for me to give it up for good.

just my perspective as the grey hairs start growing in......

I'm going ot work for my brothers company as head of security for a few years to get me on my feet and then i'm going to try to open my own resteraunt. i want it to be like an olive garden(semi italian) but with german food. i have duel citizenship with germany and the states so it would be easy for me to travel back and forth collecting recipes and whatnot. my brother would never drug test his workers and i never would either, its an invasion of privacy so ills till smoke when im older hopefully. i might stop for awhile once i have a family so i can raise my kids and remember it.

Right now i have an armed forces job thats about to end from my smokin weed, but thats cool I came to the decision that this isnt for me and to get out before im in it to deep. Ive been looking into vending various items at music festivals around the midwest being that ill be goin back to indiana. I love the atmosphere and the people and ive always wanted to be in business for myself. I will probably have to work through the winter to get a start on merchandise to sell but thats cool cause ill be doin something i want to do around a group of the best people i know the festival goers and my close friends and family as my business partners.

I have no fucking idea what my future holds, but I'll probably still smoke as an adult. Probably not everyday, but when I hit retirement age (if I live that long) I'm just gonna smoke all the time and relax =D

I can see myself doing drugs until the doctors tell me i have to stop, and then a little more.

I want to study media production and advertising, advertising linking in with phychology which i would like to one day write a book or thesis on, aspire to nobel level if i can, but i dont know yet caus im still in my chrysalis of highschool.
I will throw myself into the media scene as much as i can, self producing (but.. probably not funding and managing) music, television, film, and other arts, using the skills i have already and those i will pick up after school. I want to study advertising because it is the practical application of psychology, really, persuasion of the masses. I want to use that to my commercial advantage in terms of my artistic productions, but ultimately to enable myself a political/active career through which I will try to shape the world to however i see fit after living the life that preceded it.

in short, i dream, and aspire, and think of every day, and work towards, being not the next leonardo devinci or the next mozart or newton or lennon or darwin or einstein but being the (Bill) James Kyritsis Gilronan that I am.

everything else is futile. i wont need to fulfil all of my dream to be content but its what i strive to.

its hard to put into words my complete.. innability to concieve myself fitting into the system that makes the world go around.

and its not some silly thing i thought would be cool while gazing off into the sky one summer. its the culmination of the heinsight into every aspiration ive had since i can remember, and countless hours of introspection as to who I am and what point there is to life.

and to me, any life in a direction other than the one ive culminated to (and it keeps adapting, never getting less ambitious however) is a complete and utter waste of tiem and i may as well be a junky on the street than any 'career'.

people tell my often how foolish this is but i dont care, its perfectly normal to do so, since most people seem threatened by the idea that the kid who takes drugs and whatnot could live a more sucessful life than them.

generally if someone asks me what i want out of life, i say 'i dont know' to avoid getting told how foolish I am.

but ive never known anyone to have the ambition that I have, and while i dont truelly understand why people aspire to such mundayne life as achieving 'happiness' (i think thats the bigest load of bs myself, waht the hell do people think cocaine is for?), I part enjoy the lack of competition by other ambitious people. I also get lonely when everyone around me aspires so low.

but whatever really, each to his own, i dont impose my feelings of this matter onto other people, and am totally content keeping it to myself if it makes a social situation easier.

sorry i ranted but obviosuly this is not a little issue for me
