yeah that's what I heard! But I saw one of the most famous violinist in concert at the opera in New York (had to write a review for school) and it was so amazing I looked like a fish out of water the whole time.
Every scrap piece of paper I own has a doodle on it of some sort. I cartoon a lot. I used to write comics as pass them around to my classmates in HS, but now that I'm in college, I have so little time... I have thought of putting a few in the school newspaper, but I'd have to clean them up a bit. I also love to write, but I do it more just 'cos it's fun than trying to create any kind of masterpiece. I write poetry, fanfiction (it's addicting!!), and the occasional short story and/or drabble.
various types of instruments, writing, and drawing, sometimes dancing but not serious dancing just dancing for the fun of it
My artistic ability lies within poetry and song. I am also a big fan of theater. I love Greek tragedies and Medieval drama. I enjoy photography as well.
Damn we could make one hell of a band from everyone on this thread. We sure would have enough pics of it all too. I have thought for years we should have a Hip Planet Gathering somewhere in the world and all jam and do our Art.
I looooove acting. I'm a good actress, as long as i dont have to write/plan the play/whatever that much. I get really self conscious showing my own work. Just today i sort of froze up doing a skit i wrote in drama. But if you give me any random play... i'm pretty alright. I love to take pictures of nature things. i hate taking pictures of people, and having pictures taken of myself. I play guitar and sing off key, mostly, but i've been known to play very many instruments (not that i know how to play them, but i'll do it, lol). And i dance all the time in my room to anything very loud. I love arts of all kinds.
I'm a sucker for broadway and ballet. I also enjoy poetry readings, ranging from modern to classic/romantic. :& I write poetry too, and I am my own worst critic. I am a huge fan of music as well...I listen to all genres. As long as the writer/composer was talented, A plus in my book. I dunno...my gamily calls me geeky, I call myself tasteful.
you call yourself tasteful, and you're right and it's true, being "artsy" is more a way to be than to act... the way you see the world...
