What colour should I dye my dreads?

I'm fed up of bleach blonde. I'm not feeling the colour or the vast amount of peroxides anymore I wanna stick with a permanent dye but I have no idea what. I was toying with going back to my natural colour... But I really don't wanna have to wait a year or two to get that back. Anyone wanna give me help on what colour to dye it next?

I really loved nakedtreehugger's henna shade. But Henna/vegan dyes stay in my hair for a few days (1 week with undreaded hair)

Is it just me, or does dyeing dreadlocks just seem wrong? I mean there supposed to be your natural hair, and dyeing is completely unnatural.

I see what you mean. But I see it as totally your own choice. I would like to try the natural look, but not yet. I've been dyeing my hair for a long time, so it come second nature to me

How about leave a couple in the front bleach blonde and then die the rest pink! I personally think pink dreads are adorable. I could never do it but I think theyre pretty to look at on other people! lol

I like chestnut brown and light brown with an orangey undertone (The Garnier brands). How dark are you willing to go?

Aw, this is what my hubby calls me.
Mine are dyed red from before I had dreads and are growing out my natural color (auburn brown)
I'll leave them to grow out my natural color but I've gotten lots of compliments on my dreads being red.

If I were to dye them I'd pick a few each and do them red or blonde or brown.
So cute.

 

yeah my hair is naturally dark dark dark brown, so it was bleached about 4 times =/ and had a load of red dumped on it.. the roots were proper bright red and the length of the dreads was darker (but that might be cause i used wax,,)

i really want my hair red again, but ill hafta get it all bleached again, and im not a huge fan of that

 

Well I don't wanna go too dark. Because I change the colour often, if I went too dark and I changed my mind I'd have to bleach it to life the colour...Which I don't wanna do. I'm thinking a shade of brown but unsure which. Thanks for those moon doggie.

I was actually thinking about green but I can't find a permanent shade. Just the vegan shades like directions that don't last over a week and cost £4 odd a pot

i presume dreaded hair will hold the dye for longer than none dreaded,, just a guess tho. ive never found permanent green dye =[ or blue..
