Hey, I'm just curious because everytime i make or buy something my mom says " We had them when I was in highschool." I don't know if she says it to make me stop wearing them or just because she really did. Anyway all her old clothes from highschool are awsomly fun to wear and I just want to know what everyone else wore back in the day. Oh.....I'm really into fashion design. Anything you wore will be amazingly fun and inspiring for me.

I graduated in 1975 and I wore alot of gauze tops, jeans with tons of patches and embroidery, wedge shoes that laced up my legs, jean skirts made out of old jeans with patchwork sewn in the splits.

Poncho's and crocheted vests, gauze skirts, boots, suede vest with long fringe, jean jacket, moccasins, tee-shirts, blazers with jeans and a white shirt. Pheasent blouses with embroidery and long john tops with embroidery.Lots of tye-dye stuff, sandels.

Macrame purse, leather pony tail holder with a chop stick stuck through it.
Any kind of bag or back pack made out of tapestry material.Floppy hats.

Black leotards with short jean skirts, halter tops, big over sized sweaters.
    And I loved anything paisley.

well, it was just a year ago that i graduated but in my freshman year, it was all about fishnets, vinyl, and anything that all these good vermont farmgirls would find incredibly offensive. the principal asked me to change my clothes one day and actually had his secretary escort me home to do it. (and i lived 35 miles away from the high school! hehehe)

A short, blue plaid, pleated skirt. A light blue oxford. A small navy blue wool v-neck sweater. White knee-highs or thick black tights. 4-inch black velcro mary janes or 5-inch penny loafers.

    I went to Catholic school.

I'm still in high school and I'll wear anything. Seriously. Gah, except pajama pants. And tennis shoes.

White blouse, navy skirt, knee-high socks, don't recollect the shoes (Catholic high school, a long long long time ago).

When not in school, the paisley red print on aqua dashiki-type top my best friend Terry made for me, and my red-white-and blue striped jeans with the 2-inch deep cream-colored fringe on the bottom (my "Captain America" jeans). And my wire-rim granny glasses.

I still have the shirt (though I can't fit in it anymore, lol)!!

In high school, I wore jeans and a tee-shirt or sweatshirt. Nothing too crazy about my fashion style in high school.

It was hillarious when I went to highschool! Let me document my phases for you:

    *Leopard Print Pants
*Black MiniSkirts with fishnets and huge mary janes
*Pants that were 69 inches around on each leg, yes, they looked like a skirt.
    *far too many studded bracelets
*Black tank tops or tight black shirts. Fishnest ripped usually underneath.

    which then progressed to...

    *Mens UFO pants
    *Bunny ears
    *Ties (this was before avril)
*Zeppelin and Doors shirts ALL the time
    *far too many kandee bracelets
    *too much black eyeliner
    *hemp stuff
*glasses that had no frames in them
    *glitter,glitter, glitter
*long black straight skirts with velcro shirts that I could put words on
*Lack of shoes, or pink sketchers

    which then turned into...

    *long patchwork skirts
    *Sandals or no shoes
*tye dye tour shirts, or just general jam attire
    *bells on my ankles
    *Ponchos
    *dreads that never formed
*wood beads, wood beads, wood beads
    *green and orange everything

Im still stuck in the last phase, tho Ive toned it down a bit.

I did the whole punk/snowboarder image thing, kind of got a little industrial for a while too

then that kinda turned into preppy/snowboarder image, and somewhere along the line in my early adulthood it's become bare foot, throw on whatever, man-dress, african shit, it's all good, no-image image

    peace

In grades 8-9 I was a "betty" with bleached blonde long bangs and the rest of my head shaved (my mom hated this phase), baggy jeans and baggy shirts. In grade 10 I discovered thrift stores, hemp jewelry and long skirts. I dyed my hair every color possible through out high school; blonde, black, red, purple, green, orange, pink, blue and white. My style hasn't changed too much since grade 10, still being me....just have my natural hair color now. :)

First part of highschool I wore band T-shirts with jeans, or a kilt and long johns and combat boots.

A little while into highschool I wore band T-shirts or camouflage shirts, with ripped jeans and combat boots and a army jacket. Or black skirts/dresses with black high-heel boots. My hair was black(the colour I kept in the longest), my eye and lip make-up was black and I was never with out my spiked collar-I was filled to the brim with teenaged angst:rolleyes:
I also must add my hair was never the same cut or colour for very long;)

    Now I dress like a mom:eek:

I dressed so casual all the time. One guy actually came up to me and told me he liked my "comfortable style" which was mostly small tees and beat up jeans with my converse shoes. My favorite was this small baby tee I had with green stripes. I always always had a big soft hoodie with me cause I was always cold. And most of my tees were band tees.

i also went through several phases...first there was the huge band shirt/with a flannel shirt on top/jeans that were too big/doc martens/burgundy hair phase....next there was the extra girly but trashy look...mini skirts/knee high boots/thigh highs/long fake fingernails/lots of makeup......then there was the eclectic anything goes look, which consisted of things like a green shag carpet coat/a vintage nightgown, worn over a shirt and pants (don't ask...)/anything glittery..followed finally by my all things vintage phase...dashiki dresses/love beads/tie dye

now i dress sort of like all these things, according to my mood.sometimes i also just dress like a "regular" person, which is something i would have never done when i was in high school.

uuh I'm still in high school (my last year) and what I wore and still am is a bunch of hippie gypsy clothing (long skirts and flared shirts, baggy dark army green pants and shawls and stuff and patched shoes and wooden beaded necklaces and my two strands of my hair pulled back in a butterfly clip....
I mean in grade 9 I went through this sort of "gothic" phase where my hair was really short and purple and I laywas put jelled it in horns and stuff....
but now I'm dressing like a hippie/sometimes gypsy with clothing from the salvation army and wearing pins saying "No racism" "peace" "santa likes me best" and "hands off hydro" and a bunch of other pins I have maybe 18 of them or something.... Patchy looking back packs.... My hair normally always down.
so yup!! Everyone else around me were eather "goths" or "preps"... I meanI have a lot of either goth or hippie friends some preps... (excuse all the stupid dumb labeling I'm trying to get out of that)... "preps" wearing tight blue jeans and t-shirts that say "princess" or "sweetheart" a bunch of clothes from bootlegger and gap and shit... "goths" wearing stuff like black capes, long trench coats and iron crosses and stuff like that.... so yup....
