What do the Brits think of the Beatles?

Are they as popular in the U.K as they are in the U.S/Canada now, or are they just no big deal anymore? As sad as it is, I think they're only popular here because it's a fad

well, there are those who are true Beatles fans, those who have liked them for years, adore their music, and then there are those who only like them because they think the t shirts or the Abbey Road poster or the lunchboxes are cute.

I personally don't think that the Beatles have EVER been bettered. Tomorrow Never Knows still makes me shoot my load everytime I hear it. I swear that the Beatles were in touch with some superior being.

C'mon now Claire, you know I love the Doors, but...they weren't the incredible creative force that was the Beatles. Admittidly, the Beatles were in the right place at the right time (eg, the advent of the multi-track studio), but they were still the most sublime musical artists to ever come together in one place.

 

lol when i was a kid (well like two years ago lol) i was convinced the only way the beatles captured this magical something was that they obviously sold their souls to the devil. yeahhhh and lead everyone into drug use etc lol

actually now that i think about it i havent come out with anything better to explain the beatles...

I love the beatles !!!!!, Jim was also pretty good, but he was missing something
The Beatles played to an all round audience with different styles of music etc
But Jim only played to one type of people, !!!

 

Not Much from what i can see. matter of fact i dont think England have produce a decent music band since the early 1980s.

 

The Beatles are now a marketing ploy by the the Liverpool County Council Tourist Office..Nobody in the there right mind actualy thinks the Beatles are relevant anymore.. only silly foreigners..

 

Well that means theres not much to go to England to see any way . And sure is not the food.

 

Nope nothing to see [or eat] here .. move along to France or Spain ..
