I've always thought that David Beckham was a global joke.

I pity the Brits that miss him.

Broken hearted Man U fans who miss the old days.

 

I just pity the foo....

 

I suspect he's wearied of his high media profile and is looking for a spell of anonymity. After all, hardly anyone's heard of him over there, and "soccer" is generally considered a game for schoolgirls. Much as baseball is a girls' game over here, except we call it "rounders".

 

personally i think beckhams days as a footballer are coming to an end (his peak days anyway ) if america wanna give him obsene amounts of money ( who can blame him for taking it ) i think beckham likes all the glitzy glamour and being in the limelight " and in the future i think he will want to be starring in films .......... ps ......think alex ferguson freaked him out a bit by launching a footy boot at his head an all .

 

I never rated Beckham as a great footballer. His fame has more to do with his wife than him. Apart from a great passer of the ball and a dead ball specialist he's pretty much limited.

I'm a much better footballer, I keep taking my boots to the games but never get considered. They don't know what they missing; ummph!!!

Good luck to him ya know, he didnt do much over here and when things started getting a bit shit for them and skeletore couldnt get work over here they kinda had to move.

Actually we should put minor celebrities up against each other in a fight to the death, Battle Royale style, and televise the whole thing, with the winner becoming monarch of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
