What do you love about where you are?

I live in a hip little town on the edge of the Hudson Valley and the Catskills. We've got a great street festival here every summer, a community of awesome people who really feel the love, insanely beautiful landscapes, tons of talented artists, writers, and musicians, and lots of cool stuff to do. I love it here, I can't imagine living anywhere else, and I pretty much crawled through hell to get here. And I'd do it all again. Twice. With a shit-eating grin on my face. I'm facing some pretty heavy challenges (not the least of which is the cost of living in such a cool place) but all-in-all I can't complain. On bad days, I just have to look out the window and remember where I am to be reminded of gratitude.

I live in a swamp. I feel lucky to have that, too.

 

But the grass is always greenerover there!

 

I live in West Central Flordia...and this winter I'll be very warm. (from Michigan).

 

i love the mountains in my area and how the leaves are changing colors

and i'm happy about the friends i have here

sometimes i have bad days too, but overall i just remember what makes this place cool to me

for now anyways

I hear that. There's some things here that will get you imprisoned in other states that are like a civil citation here.

Makes me want to go out and jay-walk, just because I can.

 

I live out in the country but I'm still close enough to the city if I want to go out. I have more trees around me than people and I can go outside naked and no one would know.

 

What do I love about where I live, hmmm....

I like where my house is at because it's a house... The state, meh, not the greatest but it's okay... I like that I have dogs run into my yard and they hang with me, I like the fact that I got a nice big body of water behind my house and that nobody lives directly behind me....
But I like where I live at I guess...

 

Yeah, but even if it isn't greener, it may be decriminalized...

I hate this place, the city is lame and every one around me is stupid. Arg.
