    Hi!

I'm an Interior Decorator & I end up working with around
4 clients a month, so I wanted a wider range of opinion.

I was wondering what you might think about this trend.

The hottest color for 2006 is ORANGE!

    Here’s a nice picture:

(nothing for sale at this site)

What is your reaction to using this color in your home?

Have you jumped on this trend?

If so, what have you done that looks great and what has been a disaster?

I would love to know what you think.

    Yours,
    - Melisa

    Yeah, I agree.

Paint a room a colour (or colours) that you know you'll enjoy for more than the colour's "trend-span."

I don't pay attention to trends, but that room is very nifty. I love bright colours, especially orange and reds. And the bed rocks. So, yeah, I dig it.:p

I've always loved orange, it's such a happy colour. But no, I'm not going to paint my wall a different colour because it's 'in', how fake.

we have some orange paint (a little less bright and more yellowish than in that picture) picked out for our master bedroom (bought the paint, haven't used it yet). Not because it's trendy, but because we like color on our walls and that color seems to enhance the natural pine furniture we have.

i personally love the color orange, but not because it's a trend. I would love my house to have some orangey colors, just not the entire house.

I've actually been into orange for a while, so I think it looks great... Last summer when my hubby and I redid our kitchen, I painted it this fantastic bright orange and everyone who's seen it ADORED it!

I personally like more of a terra cotta/burnt sienna colour. It's bright, but subdued, so that when the sun comes into a room, it isn't TOO bright.

Yeah me too, I like a burnt orange better, it would be more 70's. My vw bus is orange and white and I love the way it looks.

Since when is orange a new color? I thought it'd always been part of the color spectrum.

Our room is about that color orange with grape purple trim. We painted it a few years ago and I love how it looks!

:) i love orange, but i would only go with it if it went with all my stuff or if i had an object in the room that brought the focus from the walls to match the object. i like how it looks in that room that is pictured though. i knew someone who painted there living room a darker orange, and it looked awesome but it also went well with who the owner was and his stuff. someday when i have my own place, i want to paint my kitchen counters like a sienna orange, not the counter surface, just the shelfs. And my walls will be light polyurthaned pine.
