What in hell is wrong with parents?

So I suppose by now everyone has read a story where the kid was busted by his parents, and instead of you know, maybe grounding the child or something, they completely freak out, and take the kid to the police station, and as one kid just said "got 6 months of probation"
What do they think this will do? Everything the police tell you to do is like alienate your kids 101, oh get them arrested, they are criminals.
Anyone of you who get busted by your parents, and they try to drag you down to a police station, tell them very clearly "If you do this, I will never fucking speak to you again, I will wait until I'm old enough to get an apartment, and then I'll be gone, and you can burn in hell" because seriously, thats what those dumb fucks deserve.
Stick up for yourselves people, instead of letting your dumb parents walk over you.

 

I can see why parents do, to scare their child into submission and get them to stop smoking weed, but at the end of the day, most people after the first time they smoke weed decide that this isn't something they're just gunna quit.
I agree stand your ground but be respectful, they're your parents at the end of the day and they only care for you, but in some cases they can go too far and at that point, you should show them the power of a backhand

Haha my dad doesn't care, my moms a complete idiot though, she doesn't know yet, but when she finds out I'm going to have to listen to her flip out, then I'll tell her shes wrong, and show her some information, but then she'll disregard it and scream some more.
My moms insane though, she threw my n64 at a wall once because she didnt want me owning a gaming console (already had a snes and playstation, in the same room)

 

I am a parent of two boys, 9 y.o & 5 y.o. I could be a strict father to my oldest, but he's at a age where is learning alot about drugs in school & doing mischief. I'm gonna try NOT to let them live MY life when I was younger & abusing everything starting around the age of 12-13. My mother doen't smoke anything, but when I was 14-17, she would let me smoke weed in my bedroom because she would rather see me do that then drink alcohol and hurt myself or someone else. I learned alot from her, and probelly enforse the same rules(at a little older age though) if needed. My oldest is really involved in sports-football, basketball,& motocross racing. Things that slipped my mind when I was young, except for the motocross racing which I will do for the rest of my life until I can't walk. Sorry for ranting, but I just want to show you from the parents side. Also some of your parents are just fucking nuts when they found out you were smokin weed, from what I read on here. I still think alcohol is 100 times more evil & dangerous then smoking weed.

 

my friends rents sent their kid to wilderness camp and then to boarding school and like completely abandoned him

 

just for smoking weed? jeez.. that's so harsh. they should of just talked him instead of putting him through all that shit.

my problem is my mom is jealous of me and she always trys to start shit with me constantly and i ignore her and she gets frustrated and backhands me.

can you believe that canadian law allows parents to do this. CAN YOU FUCKING BELIEVE THIS.

this is where i freak out i do not believe in violence but i have serious anger issues you touchme i will beat the shit out of you or go down trying so i always end up punching her in the face and we fight and then the cops come and sometimes if they decide to search my shit because my mom tells them i got shit in my room i get busted for possesion. yea my mom does this shit for real

sorry for the rant but my mom stopped me from going snowboarding today FOR NO REASON and that pissed me off

 

i havent told my parents i smoke yet... but my mom pretty much knows. shes never smoked, but ive talked to her so much about how i think it should be legal and how messed up the government is. if i told her though, i honestly think shed be ok. shed tell me not while youre living under my roof and shed prob search my room and give me a longgg talk about how it doesnt matter whats right and whats wrong, the law is the law. my dad would probably smack my face though and not let me hang out with friends past 10pm lol... aka social life down the shitter.
