What is the most Tylenol you've ever taken?

When I first got on the pain killer bus, I had a few OD scares cuz I couldn't really control myself (Now I have a lot more will power). My problem wasn't with the pain killers themselves, it was that god damned Tylenol!! One day I hit 4grams and I thought I was done for. I called poison control and the guy on the other end said "Just don't take anymore" in a "What the fuck is wrong with you?" tone.

So I want to know, does your size (Ht/wt) affect how much Tylenol you can really take? Can you build a tolerance to Tylenol? And what's the most Tylenol you've ever taken?

 

I have taken as much as 14 5/500mg Vics in a day and realized what I had done and switched to Percocet. At 7000mgs, your liver knows you have fucked up, But I only did that once. I have since always kept it below 3000 knowing 4000 was the limit. Now that I dont take any opites for pain, im swallowing close to 4000mgs of Motrin a day and thats got to stop as well!

 

I took 2 grams before bed with some hydros and then mid day the next day took 3.5 grams with more hydros. My liver was aching very much and I knew I had fucked up, no ill effects other than that though.

This is a double post but man that shit needs to stop or you will end up with cirrhosis like my mother. I tried for years to get her to switch to cannabis for her pain but she just keep taking like 6 10/500 hydros every day. Pot is the safest pain reliever on Earth, it may even help you get over your addiction. When my brother was on crack me and our friends got him blazed with high grade pot perpetually for the next week and now is completely clean. This could probably work for pills too.

 

Ya got to be careful with the Motrin it can cause serious Gastro/intestinal issues like bleeding ulcers along with some cardio/vascular problems as well so please err!! on the side of caution and use with moderation.

I was told that taking large doses of Tylenol consistently will create a toxic compound(like a sludge) to accumulate in the liver and kill you, or permanently fuck you up at the very least. So, to answer you question "can you build a tolerance to Tylenol"?....No!.... just an accumulation of toxic sludge.

They make the same painkillers( I'm guessing you mean oxycodone) without the Tylenol in them, Try getting some of those the next time you're going to try to get high.

 

I know guys, the motrin binge im on has been stopped, but damn i do need some pain relief. I did smoke a bowl yesterday and got high as hell. I dont smoke much, maybe a bowl or two every 3 months. I may just give that a try.

 

Isn't tylenol just paracetamol? Why would you take 4g of it? Any more than 500mg you're damaging your liver and there's no pleasant effect anyway.

I've never had more than 2,000mg. I quickly moved away from APAP-compounds in my opioid journey, mainly for my safety, not because i had a tolerance. I used to split 60mg OxyContins into like 5 portions that I crushed and put into gel-capsules.

 

The most tylenol I've ever taken was when I was probably 13 and didn't know how damaging it was to the liver. I also didn't know that diphenhdramine was the drug who's effects I was feeling. I used to eat 12-20 generic tylenol pm's because it "fucked me up." I don't know how much tylenol that is but to this day I can't take it without feeling like garbage.

 

Holy shit! That's about 4,000-8,000mg depending on if it was 12 or 20 of them (they are usually with 375mg of acetaminophen to my best knowledge). I'm glad you don't have any damage!

 

Just took 1325 mg tylenol, prob most I have done at once. Feel kinda sick. Fuck tylenol I hate that shit. If I have headaches I go for ibuprophen anyways so much better in every way. They should make that the generic drug for vicodin wtf.

Yes Tylenol is paracetamol or acetaminophen as it's called in the US. None of us like to take it. In the US many painkillers like Hydrocodone and Oxycodone and mixed with Tylenol in order to deter abuse, so we all have to monitor how much we take with ours pills.

 

I'm on Opana and if not I'm taking a 30mg Roxi every 2 hours or so.
One time I ran out and got a script for 30x 10/660 percocet
I took 13 in one day. So. Around 8 grams of tylenol for me. I felt a little sick to my stomach but thats it.

 

whats the amount youre not supposed to go over in 24 hrs or you can screw up your liver? 2000mg or something? probably depends on body size

 

It varies from 2000 to 4000. My opioid conversion app (which is supposed to be used by doctors and nurses) sets the 'alarm' to warn you if you have a dose of acetaminophen over 4000mg in one day. I am confident saying, however, that the risk is in the long-term if you are consistently taking say 4500mg of acetaminophen a day for 25 years (say you need Norcos/Vicodins). However, taking something like 8,000mg of acetaminophen at once is probably going to cause some acute issues hepatologically speaking.

 

I'm not bragging because I know the dangers of APAP.... However i've taken as much as 30,000 mg a day. i got sick and nauseated but i go to my Dr. every other month, w/ labs and my liver is fine... go figure.... i don't drink so maybe that helps... BTW, this is not addressed to u Etkearne, it's to the whole group...

 

30,000mg? Wow, you're lucky to be alive. I think that's about twice the lethal dose, at least.
