Asparagus is fine. REAL asparagus is fine.
Canned asparagus is just... not. It has a faint suggestion of the original flavor, none of the texture or color. It's full of salt and preservatives, and I bet most if not all of the nutrients have been leeched out. It's utterly worthless.

I hope it heard me. I want it to have low self-esteem.

    Haha, that works too.
No, but really, they have a diuretic in them that helps shed water weight. Is that what you were referring to, Penny?

    :drool5:
I had some once at a demo at Wegmans where they seasoned it with lemon-infused olive oil. Delish.

I've never ventured into eating asparagus. I think maybe Nesta should grill some up for me.

I can only get french cut green beans in a can. Also, cans are pretty handy when you don't have a big enough fridge to keep fresh veggies fresh.

It tastes nothing like the real thing but it is cheap and takes about 1% of the time to prepare the fresh stuff.

    Don't bag it k?

Wow.. that sounds amazing. I've never had asparagus made that way.
I always like it with velveeta cheese melted over it.
