My dad is restringing a guitar for a co-worker. We can not Id the model. Here is what we so do: It is a Gibson There is a dot over the I in Gibson logo (not all years had the dot) It was made between 1970 - 1972 (this was figures by the fact that the serial # is stamped into the wood and the 'Made in USA' is on 2 lines and is smaller the the serial #) It is most likely make of solid maple. It has 2 pots (instead of 4) and the selector switch is lower then most gibsons. Here are a few pictures
Well, it looks kinda like an L6S, but I don't recall the through-body stringing...I would have expected the standard tailpiece in early 70's gibson maybe customized?
Thanks zombie. That go me going in the right direction. It was a mid 70'd L-6S Deluxe. The Deluxe had through body strings. Thanks a lot!
