What language would you like to learn?

    Why that language?

    Do you think you ever will learn it or is it just a pipe dream?

    i know sign language, but i would really like to SPEAK another language, i would like to learn french

    hmmmmm, French I think. also Spanish fluently, and I'd say I'm like 50% there.

    in order to read the language, without necessarily caring if i were able to speak it: hebrew, mandarin, pali, latin, greek, ethiopic

    to be able to speak, read, and write fluently: spanish, dutch, german, arabic, japanese, hindi, russian, latvian, french

    i just wish i was competent enough to learn to just speak spanish well :(

    i couldn't learn a language that was too different from my own. which is why german is my love!

    You just gotta get yourself a little latina hottie. Speaking everyday is the only way to learn a language IMO.

    As for the mandarin, I have got a problem with tonal languages, I'm sure I will sound like an idiot if I do learn it. I mean, I can speak thai pretty well now, but my accent is still extremely foreign.

    Exactly the same here... Although I'll admit I never considered Old Norse. :rolleyes:
