What Languages...

Do you speak/understand? I speak and understand both English and Spanish, also a tad bit of French. I want to learn Japanese and Chinese and Dutch.

 

well dutch, english a bit swedish...uhm...i can understand german...uhm...yeah that's about it.

 

icelandic and english of course, and then i understand a few words in danish..

 

I understand English and STFU (the later wasn't directed at you, it's just my second language).

I'm supposed to learn mandarin Chinese for this thing, but I don't think it's gonna happen, I'm thinking about switching my major and becoming an EMT.

I dunno where to even start learning chinese... I was thumbing through this, you can learn chinese too book, and it had like 700 charecters, and you're supposed to know several thousand to be able to read a newspaper.

i know a little french other than that id have to say engrish

 

i have enough trouble understanding english...

 

English (great language) and a good amount of Japanese.

 

I do alright with English, but I am fluent in Jibberish. I am also teaching myself Japanese, but it is a slow process.

 

With total and absolute fluency

English - American, Canadian and British variants, including Mancunian and Geordie.
French - France and Quebec

Can do various transactions with the help of a dictionary on occasion (e.g. I can get around, buy things, ask what they are etc)

Vietnamese, Spanish, Japanese

Have been exposed to in a very minor way

Mandarin, Sichuanese.

Swedish, english and german + a bit spanish.

I speak Finnish and English of course, and Swedish and German. And some French and Spanish. But I only use Finnish and English regularly so I'm starting to forget the others.

 

i can speak spanish and cuban p.rican dialects included ...i can understand italian french and some portugeese

haha, actually though, I do remember a bit from high school spanish. I'm thinking I should start studying it again, since about half of this side of the planet speaks it...Mexico on down, except for Brazil and a few others.

 

english & enough french
a little german, and i can recite the korean and hebrew alphabets, don't ask me where that's gonna get me.. i would love to learn more languages; i'm always so impressed when i meet europeans who have 5+ languages under their belts.

I can speak some spanish and some french but that is it, and not very well either...
