I am wanting to start lucid dreaming. Don't worry I will be using plenty of techniques and training. But I would also like to use some psychedelics as training wheels to jump start this, if there are some good psychedelics for lucid dreaming then let me know. There is nothing wrong with training wheels as long as you grow out of them.

    Thanks.

I think many Psychedelics have potential to catalyze lucid dreaming but Salvia Divinorum, DMT, and DPT seem to come to my recollection the quickest of promoting lucid dreaming. None of which should be associated with training wheels in any fashion.

Back in the days that I did psychedelics, I never had lucid dreams on psychedelics. I have many lucid dreams a week but I think it is because I write my dreams down when I wake up.

Try eating acai and blueberries before sleeping. Psychedelics do not help with lucid dreaming.

IMHO I don't think psychedelics will help in anyway for lucid dreaming. Not like it will prevent it either, I just don't think it correlates.

There are many things on this planet that do help though.. Green teas, bananas are simple ones. I'm really mad to be spacing on its name, but there is this African herb easy and legal to get online that pretty much induces lucid dreaming. (Not that it puts you to sleep, you just smoke it before bed)

Honestly, just do the totemn method, and within 2 weeks you start lucid dreaming almost nightly.

A book that may be of interest to you is Drugs of the Dreaming- Oneirogens: Salvia Divinorum and other Dream-Enhancing Plants

I have only read the the excerpts on Salvia Divinorum and Psilocybin mushrooms but there are other psychedelics such as ayahuasca (Oral DMT) as well as many other non psychedelic plants that are used for enhancing dreams mentioned in this book. I've read reviews that say overall it's a difficult read but it may give you some more ideas on some herbs, psychedelic or otherwise to check out.

^i'll have to check that out

I feel meditation would be a good practice for lucid dreaming too, wanted to mention that.

Silene capensis or "african dreamroot". Apparently more effective than Calea zacatechichi which is the Mexican dream herb, but got no personal experience with the latter so I couldn't say.

Can get it powdered or the dried root itself, crush it up finely and munch a teaspoon of it in the morning on an empty stomach(water will be needed). May work that night, otherwise the next. Keep munching, after about 2 weeks you'll be sorted for a month.

Incredibly vivid dreams, I was blown away.. exquisitely detailed, it's inspired a few paintings. Very much recommend it - I'd like to get some more.. Traditional uses were for meeting ancestors, or whatever your interpretation of that may be.. I can probably see that it could be useful in some way or another with some focus. I just had great fun, to the point that it was making me want to go to bed early.

Bedtime ganja usually kills your dreams though, to note.

No other known side effects, only affects your dreams.

Thanks all of you for your input. MeatyMushroom I also have a Silene capensis plant, but I have not used it yet. But I will.

That book "Drugs of the Dreaming- Oneirogens: Salvia Divinorum and other Dream-Enhancing Plants" seems like it would have some of the information I need. So I will check that out.

    Thanks to you all again.
