If you liked Amelie, try Jeux d'Enfants, or Love me if you dare in English. It's really really good. Plus Marion Cotillard is one of the two main characters and she is just lush.
Jimmy saved the day. True Romance is a fucking great movie. Amelie was the other that I had in mind when I saw this thread. Jesus, I love that movie. Themnax brought up The Graduate...a classic. But another French movie that nobody has mentioned is Betty Blue. It is a wonderfully shot, well acted classic. And the lead actress is smokin'. If you haven't seen it, check it out.
P. S. I Love You was freakin amazing. sad in parts, but really good, really satisfying 27 dresses was a pretty good romantic comedy too
Sabrina (both the old and new one), Life is Beautiful,; Me, You and Everybody we know, Great Expectations
i did like eternal sunshine quite a lot.... but she reminded me very much of an ex in a painful way. i thought the movie was good, but i watched it once and likely never will again.
I'm sorry but that movie in my opinion was HORRIBLE. Bad acting, completely ridiculous, shallow. One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. My roommate rented it and she likes those kind of super girly hollywood bubblegum already digested for you movies and even she though it was bad and too corny. I only survived through the whole movie by making fun of every scene. Of course, this is just my opinion. It's not that I dont like girly movies, I like a lot of them, but this was just stupid. Also Hillary Swank needs to learn how to cry, though my guess is she didnt believe in her own character.
yeah, I saw it a long long time ago. Now that movie was sad, I remember thinking it was good at the time. I dont know how I would feel about it now.
Oh man. Jeux d'enfants. Absolutely. And that one with buffy and the food and the crab. And Wristcutters, and eagle vs shark. That one was great.
Yeah, me too. Im sure I would perceive it way different now, I must have been 13-14 when I watched it.
