what should i use for a bowl...making glass bong (already got a hole)

ok so I found an apricot brandy bottle that has a similar shape to a bong and now i'm wondering how i should make/buy a bowl. Theres a headshop i goto i might go there to look for bowls, do you think it would be alright to pull out the glass bottle and show it to them so they could help me or could i get in trouble for that. Anyway the hole i have for the bong is really small right now (incase the bowl is small) but i can easily make it bigger. is there some kind of contraption i can come up with to use for a bowl. and this is the first bong i've ever (tried to) make

2 more questions as far as bowls go, do most have like a stem or tube to dip in the water good? and second how should i go for making a carb, heres the description of a carb from wiki.

or should i leave the carb out? thanks for the help and any sugestions would be awesome.

 

Your probably better off buying a bowl. If you need to you can make one out of a pen/bottle cap and tinfoil which is pretty easy to figure out. The length of the stem varies pretty heavily from bowl to bowl. If theres no one else in the store there shouldnt be any problem with just pulling out the bottle depending on how cool the guys are. For a carb you want to make a hole right above the water line.
