What STD's do you have? Please share. Seriously though, I'm concerned I might have HPV (not to be confused with HIV, definitley don't have that, but gawd if you do I feel for ya). I'm going to a doctor on Monday to find out for sure. According to this website: (http://www.indiana.edu/~health/hpv.html) "An estimated 75 percent of the reproductive-age population has been infected with sexually transmitted HPV" That blows my mind... 75%? Most of us probably don't even know it...
wow....sorry to hear that I only worried about this kinda thing once or twice but when I was pregnant..(all four times) the doctors always did a full field of tests not sure about doctors but for this reason I am grateful they are around grrr...I'm tired otherwise I might make more sense oh who am I kidding I never make any sense
actually i've never been tested... but i've always been with girls that were on the shot.. and were gettin tested every 3 months.. so i figure i must be clean
i'd get tested then, men usually never have symtoms as bad as women do .like clymidia men hardly ever know they have it, but keep passing it on (and i would never just trust somebodys word).
i've only had like 4 sexual partners... im pathetic like that.. and all were clean when i met them.. i dont think i have anythign
there's only one girl whom I could've caught anything from, I haven't seen her in almost two years and I'm pretty sure she didn't start whoring around until after the last time we shagged which was even longer than the aforementioned time even though she did cheat on me while we were dating and we shagged while she was shaggin' them other guys and I just didn't know it... no symptoms of any kind in almost two years, pretty sure that's safe.
some STD's can be present without any symptoms, especially for guys, and you end up infecting other people. Go get test, they really aren't that difficult. Most STD's can be checked through a simple urine test
Ok, I'm in a pissy mood so I just have to state the obvious. The testing is a good thing, but WTF does the shot have anything to do with it? Was it because they went in to get the shot every 3 months so decided to get tested at the same time? Because the shot dont protect you from nothin but bein a daddy.
hpv isn't a big deal no worries, especially if your a guy. your body usually cure its' self on its own. Just take lots of vitamins and put yourself on a whole foods diet and of course go to the doctor and quit smoking and it should go away...75 percent of the population are carriers but it only breaks out when the immune system's low
oop, I didnt' notice this comment earlier. When I was on the shot, I only got STD checks with my yearly checkups, not with my 3month shot. I haven't heard of anyone getting an STD check every time they get the shot injected, usually it's a quick run in, get the meds the up to the nurse who administers it and you're done (that is, if you're clever enough to call ahead and get your chart pulled in time) I'm rather of the opinion that everyone should get a general STD check once a year, whether sexually active or not. No harm in checking, it's much better than going crazy from syphillis or having AIDS run unchecked and untreated, n'est pas?
i went for a test today...got a full check up and a blood test for HIV and syphilis. my results will come in two weeks.
I've had the clap twice - both from the same girl. And I currently have genital herpes, as does my wife. It's really no big deal.
The worst I've ever had was a yeast infection and a pregnancy scare. In school, we had crazy freaks teaching our health classes. They were like protection nazis. Oh, the horrid pictures of upclose infection and gory disease photos. They recited stat after stat, then repeatedly tested us on this valley of STD awareness they'd provided. Then, they'd hand out condoms to everyone... Needless to say, I was terrified of catching something during sex. Anyways, I always used two forms of protection, that is until I met my current love. We went and got tested together, and since we were both clean, we decided that it was safe. I'm still on the pill, but I've gotten rid of those damn condoms for good. Not to sit and promote sex sans condoms, but oh it does feel so much better...
