hey, i think i've seen this thread around here before but i can't find it. oh well here's the question again. what do you do for a living? is it anything like what you originally planned to work as? are you happy with your job, if not what would you rather be doing? i say this because it being my last year of highschool and all that crap i'm thinking about post secondary education. the only thing i'm actually interested in taking is a 3 year course at the local college of arts. then i realize that if i get a degree in arts i'll likely spend the rest of my life working fairly shitty paying jobs that have nothing to do with my degree. such a dilemma, follow your heart or make money?
im a teacher. i didnt plan on bein a teacher when i was in hs but it turns out im enjoyin it. i wanted to be an artist but yea, it doesnt give u much comfort its not even about money, just about knowin that u'll have enough money to eat the next month havin said that, follow your dreams
I a diversity director for a non-profit. I thought I would be a first grade teacher up untill a year ago. Now I want to be a regional director or cpo for a non-profit. I like the actual job of what I do. I get to travel and speak at conferences which most at 23 don't get to do. But I really don't like those who I work with and the higher ups are pretty cut throat. funding doesn't supposed to where it is designated ect. I have a BA in psychology and am going for another BA in liberal arts and than am planning on getting an MBA with an emphasis in non-profit administration.
At the moment, I tutor a special needs girl in math, spelling, piano and reading. I love my job, but it's not enough hours and I need money for college. I have an interview tomorrow at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Hopefully I get the job, and hopefully I can continue to tutor as well. I'm starting university in January. At the end of it all, I'll have a degree in Psychology and the PLAN is to be working out of the Mental health unit of a hospital as a mental health specialist. I just hope I don't get drug tested.
i freelance computer repair and troubleshooting in the summer along with any carpentry jobs i can find. in the winter im a ski technician at the local resort.
i'm a page designer right now at the local daily newspaper.....and its definetly not where i had thought i would be at this point in my life, but hey isn't that what life is all about...... what i would really like to do......have my own homestead....grow lots of stuff......raise some animals....have some babies someday....and just be happy......
