hi, i just baught 2 oz of weed, they looked kind of weird, but now they smell really bad and are white/green 'cause of mold. is there anything i can do with it (besides throw it away) to make it more or less smokable?

dude i dont think that the "mold" is really mold. its probably the little fuzz that most buds have on them.
no it s really mold. thing is i live in costa rica, and here the quality is quite bad (that s 'cause I am workless for the moment, so I have to buy the cheap crap). it comes compressed in blocks from colombia. i got some creepy seeds, but I'm doing a first trial on these crap-weed seeds. i would send a pic, but its invisible in webcam pics. so no suggestions?
Um... Get some Ethanol and do an extraction. The alcohol will kill off any bacteria from the mold and you'll be left with hash oil... I think it's probably your best bet, PM me if you need help.
a couple years ago i found a 1/2 ounce i had forgotten about for a couple months. i had put an orange peel in it and it was kinda moldy but i smoked it anyway. it didn't taste good but it got me high.
Very simple really; in a nutshell you just dissolve the THC into the ethanol (or any other solvent) by simply putting in the bud and shakin' it around, etc., then you strain out the plant matter (the bud itself) leaving only the ethanol combined with the THC. Then you evaporate out the Ethanol leaving only THC. Ethanol + (Bud)(THC) / Bud - Ethanol = THC
Oh, and btw I'd reccomend Acetone instead of Ethanol usually, but I suggested the Ethanol because of the mold..
go to www.erowid.org and go to cannibus and you should find a variety of ways to potentiate and salvage your moldy bud. hope it works out for you. my suggestion buy smaller quantities of better herb.
ok thanks, i tried the extraction method, have to wait for natural evaporation, since forced evaporation might get dangerous (i don't have to force air flow to evacuate the alcohol).
Well let us know how it goes, and just so you know you might want to run the bud through the extraction a few times just to make sure you get everything out of it.
