its a story i read when i was a kid about a girl with cancer, at the end of everyday she would ask her mom what was good about the day to try and keep her mom's spirits up (yes a dying girl worried about her moms mentality) and eventually it became the tradition between them and also their final words to each other. it was a true story, and it's somethin i find myself thinking about often, even after all these years. i even ask my son the same question, just to remind him(and myself) of all the beautiful things in our lives....its a good way to put the focus back on all the positive things that you are grateful for. so today, I ask YOU rt....what was good about today?!
It just started! But that's pretty cool. I dated a guy the summer before I was a senior and he had already graduated and in September, not too long after I started my senior year, he went off to Boston for college. We still kept in touch pretty much every day through IM's, phone calls, e-mails, for a looooonnnng time. Apparently I was a total bummer in all of them because I missed him, so he told me he wasn't going to reply to me anymore unless I had at least one positive thing to say about my day every day. It definitely helped. So yeah...give me some time to actually have a day, and I'll have an actual reply, lol.
well, i'm always trying to improve myself... my life is kinda depressing because i live with my parents and i'm rehabbing myself because i had huge drug problems. so these days i just have patience and do all the things i like to do... today is good because i play my guitar, read my book, play my devil stix, walk the slack line, draw some cartoons, work on an animation, walk the dog, eat some tofu, and grow my dreads. having patience, just waiting it out until next semester starts. everyday getting one step closer to my dream job as an animator for Pixar.
i have a friend who's an animator, she got shot down by disney right out of school and has since worked on many great shows, iggy arbuckle, robot chicken, sons of butcher, and chilly beach(its canadian).... she re applied to disney recently and is heading down to california for an interview next month. keep your chin up, and your eye on the prize!! :cheers2:
I hung out with my sister (which I never seem to do anymore because I'm so damn busy ) And we did some grocery shopping.. Bought an eggplant which is something I have never bought before. It'll be interesting We bought a Tracy Chapman CD. Turns out to be exactly the same on we used to listen to on loooong trips back in New Zealand with my mum and dad.. So that was cool. Worked. Work was good. Got home, spent a bit of time with my sister again listening to the CD. Thinking of going to bed early.. Exam tomorrow. Man I fucking love life
no patients to see, it's sunny, husband forgave me right away for being a complete jerk and crazy lady yesterday, lots of orders to fill, expecting a huge fabric shipment, knowing I am soon to be self-employed. Life is awesome today.
Now that's a real accomplishment.....If you're 7 and/or retarded Also, there's my proof that you DON'T capitalize I
