if not this year then very soon my friend, things are changing, i flipped on local news last night and have been seeing occupy way more over the place then before. i felt then and there that something is going to happen
On December 21st, 2012, just after sundown, the Hopi will count receipts from all of the souvenirs they've sold to stupid white people and celebrate a good sales year. Nostradamus will continue being dead, as will Jeane Dixon. Harold Camping will believe that he's being raptured away only to find a moment later that the pleasant sensation of warmth was just wetting himself, again. After a day no more eventful than any other, at the stroke of midnight... it will become the 22nd of December.
mediocre comedians will make many, many substandard jokes about the end of the world. (hopefully) there'll be big "end of the world" parties. booze and drugs will flow, lascivious wassails will be enacted with gay abandon. someone, somewhere will pick the next arbitrary date for things to go tits up. the cycle repeats...
It's all very predictable...very suspicious... AHA! That's it. The end of the world is lulling us into a false sense of security! I'm on to you, end of the world. BUY UP EMERGENCY SUPPLIES! REMAIN INDOORS! DON'T PANIC!! -BlkBks
Dec. 21 will be a day of killing, birth, hate, love, abuse of authority, rebellion against authority, drinking, fucking, etc. just like Dec. 20 and Dec. 22 after it. Oh, and this poll will end, lol.
The spiritual side of me hopes so much that people will start to be better human beings, but the cynic side of me is very much 'ha ha yeah right'. Sadly I can only see things getting worse but will hope for something better.
I'm still counting on a swarm of black holes coming out of the LHC and swallowing us all up :toetap05:
i think, and have posted before, that i think aliens will come out in the mainstream, and the world will know for a fact they are real. perhaps they will broadcast themselves live on tv so there is no more dispute about them not being real or anything. perhaps they'll even tell us more of our history with them. btw: they ARE in fact real. i saw a ufo close up about 25 feet away from me a year ago. looked right into it.
I really don't know but I hope it's good! This Mayan calender thing might be just a lot of hot air,but if the buzz it creates can filter into the mainstream a bit and give rise to awareness about our place in the cosmos, that can't be a bad thing. It's easy to pooh pah the Mayan prophecies but we should remember that they were a very sophisticated culture.I live in hope.
