Whats the difference between a deadhead and a hippie?

Lots of hippies don't like the Dead, but you knew that.

 

the way i see it, deadheads and hippies are both dying breeds. by this, i mean to say that, since there is no longer a grateful dead to follow, and 'hippie' is an out-dated media stereotype kept alive by lovers of labels... and the 'O.G.' hippies are dying off... both are becoming culturally irrelevant terms.

I'm not sure what either one is anymore to be honest.

I looooove The Grateful Dead, I mean really really loved their music for a long time, but never considered myself a true ''Dead Head'', but a hardcore fan of their music and so are my friends.

I'm a free thinker and don't like to be labeled.

I like 'the hippie way', but don't agree with everything hippies do and believe.
