What's the most retarded thing that ALMOST put you in jail?

Me? 2.5 days for a seat belt ticket.
My husband? 5 days for having a bad day at work, me calling him from the courthouse and telling him that I needed $150 by 5 PM (when I called him at 4PM), and taking his bad mood out on the lady that we were supposed to pay the $150 for. . . and she called the judge out of the courtroom to deal with him.

MY STUPID, STUPID HUSBAND! I wanted to scream at him for being so stupid!

As soon as we both left the courthouse, with neither of us having to go to jail, we laughed our asses off during our walk back to our car.

That was a close one of just pure dumbness.

Anyone else have any dumb close encounters with jail?

 

opened my trunk once in shop class and forgot i had a rifle in there

I can just imagine if that happened today with the way teachers are

 

Ive done a lot in my time that would end me up in jail...

 

I wasn't referring to anything drug-related. If I had been, my list would have been significantly longer, lol. Damn it, Eric. I was trying to look better on paper.

 

Drugs aside.. There is too much I have done that could have landed me in jail/prison

 

I guess I'm just better at not getting caught. . . or in this case, almost caught.

 

Im quite good at not getting caught.. that's why im not there now.. before... and hopefully ever

 

I've never been to jail, either. There were close calls, though. I hope I remain un-jailed forever.

I was taken out of high school in handcuffs my sophomore year.. and taken to be questioned.. thats as close as i've come

I got away from two very large speeding tickets at 16 by awesome driving and knowing which houses i could drive into the back yard and hide ..id have been arrested and held for sure if they had caught me

 

btw...it is possible to get a plymouth reliant up on two wheels if you take the corner fast enough and keep the tire pressure high

 

Well...the closest I ever got to going to jail was when the cops raided my house. My boyfriend went instead of me. All over less than a bowl's worth. One measly little bud.

In SC you go to jail (somebody goes) for a wee bit of weed! I know.

 

Texas. It happened over 4 years ago and was very poorly done. The neighbors hated us, so they called the cops and told them we were drug dealers. Two cops arrived with no warrant. We were stupid and young and only knew to tell them no to coming in, so they sat and threatened us for a couple of hours on our front porch, then when my boyfriend's mom (the owner of the property we live on) came out, they turned her away from her own land and then told us she said they could search it. So they searched it (turns out she said the exact opposite "If the kids say no, the answer stays no") and found less than a bud and a shitload of paraphernalia. They took just about everything and took him to jail for the weed. Later the charges got dropped to just drug paraphernalia. It was still a lot of bullshit over less than you could get high on.

 

My hubby laughed and said, "Not for very long."
