Whats with the sneakers?

Remember the films and tv series like The Waltons,ADVENTURES of Tom Swayer,Huckleberry Finn,Old Yellor...!These were nice,and almost all the actors were....BAREFOOT !! I remember our early SA tv shows and films,all the kids were barefoot.I just wonderred,do American children ever walk barefoot,have they ever walked barefoot?Even in western movies they wear shoes.In SA movies,dephcting early life,the kids were barefoot,even in SA films of the early 90's kids are barefoot! But looking at US films,the kids always wear sneakers! Gosh,they do'nt even go to bed barefoot! At least in some Irish,Aussie and NZ films the kids are barfoot,and even in Harry Pottor films,there are a few barefoot shots.Why are American kids always sneakred, do'nt they know the joys of barefooting? ITS wierd,they forced a sneaker culture onto barefoot cultures,and sneakers ar'nt cool,yet with their barefoot Tom Swayer and Huck Finn,quickned kids adventures across the globe.BAREFOOT IS COOL AND HIP...still wierder is this...In SA the kids in primary school attend school barefoot all day,but when they get home,they put on sneakers.SNEAKERS SUCK! The best kid is a barefoot kid.Studies in JAPAN proved that kids attending school barefoot,farred better than shoesies,just annother thing,in ancient Greece,kids attended gymnasiums barefoot aod NAKED (even though it were wealthy boys),and they were forced to attend naked ...yet,it produced mathmeticians and philossophers that are still reverred today,imagine if it were so today...just immagine,in todays life,if kids and youths were compelled to attend school barefoot and naked,we could see more Einsteins and genius's.I think the Japs are onto something, but the greeks,....they had it!

I can remember a newspaper photo which appeared soon after they abolished racial segregation in South Africa. It showed several children at the entrance to a school, some black and some white. The white children were barefoot and the black children had shoes on! It seemed as though the parents had all said "Now that you're going to the same school as black/white children, you should do the same as they do."

 

These schools are called model c schools,and in the beginning,i think the blacks felt it an improvement,and bought shoes,thinking its still white dominant,but the past few years,black kids again started attending school barefoot.In the past,they were ignorant of the fact that white kids actually went to school barefoot,and in the mod.c schools,barefoot black kids are the minority,its mostly white kids that go barefoot.The new generation black people now days find it hard to accept barefoot whites.Wearing shoes in the black community is a sign of prosperity,bare feet under whites is merely pleasure.
