i would say "The great gig in the sky" or "The Trial" or "waiting for the worms"... they are all just soo good Favorite album would have to be Darkside of the moon or "The wall"
im a fan of old floyd, but i really do think their best album will always be DSOTM. As for song, I always go into a trance when i hear "shine on you crzy diamond"
Echoes Anyone seen that underwater camera filming the surfers video footage, truly amazing bit of trippy photography to the song.
Us and Them - Dark Side of the Moon Through headphones.... or while driving... It's got a groovy vibe man.... :H
I always like to hear Shine on you Crazy Diamond, esp a live version, but yes, so hard to narrow it down. depends a lot on my mood too.
That is a hard question...every album has something great. Well okay,I'm not a big fan of Momentary Lapse of Reason. My favorite song though...probably One Of My Turns on The Wall.
Bootsy Collins, The Messiah, and Rumplestiltskin all in one thread....or was that Neil Young? I never appreciated DSOTM until the day I put my uncles big, cushy headphones on, reclined in a lazyboy, closed my eyes, and 'saw' what they did. There is a reason it spent decades on the Billboard top 100, and I think it is the alltime record holder for that. My favorite album and song? I have to post this: madcrappieimpossible. I cannot do it. I cannot even give my fave album.Today 02:20 PM The album is definitely either Moon or the Wall, probably the dark side of the moon, but the wall is soooo close. I might say "Goodby blue skies, or Run like hell, or, comfortably numb, are my fave song. But 'not gonna do it.' wish you were here. have a cigar. shine on..... I canna do it.
I'd say Good Bye Blue Sky, Mother, Wish you were here, Have a Cigar, The Trial, Young Lust, Nobody Home, Run Like Hell, The Trial, Hey You. Best album would have to be The Wall or Wish you were here.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn... post-Barrett Floyd never came close to the greatness* they had while under the direction of Syd. * Not meaning commercial greatness. I'm talking about the great music that Syd made. For post-Syd, I like Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall pretty much equally. All in my opinion, of course..
