there are so many to choose from... and i like them all, well... except 'whats become of the baby' and 'hell in a bucket'...

anyway, my favorite gd tune of all time would have to be 'doin that rag'. alice d millionaire and dark star are close though... hell, lets just say everything up until 72... that'd be a safe bet.

Hmm... I don't really know if I have a favorite, but I do like Eyes of the World alot.
I think it's a great song, and I love the lyrics.

Scarlet Begonias. I think the one I have has Janis Joplin because it says it does and it sounds like it does. Scarlet Begonias is so good that it's incrediably hard to describe what it's like, but I can try. It's like all the instruments are in perfect unison and there are really no solos or part where only a certain instrument can be heard good. See goddamnit it's hard to describe. If you have AOL Instant Messenger I should be able to send you the version I have and you can help me describe it :).

Oh and Black Muddy is another awesome heard. The first time I heard it, it immediatly grabbed my attention and I fell in love with it right away.

Haha, Grateful Dead is awesome :).

    Have a nice day :).

its not janis joplin yer hearin'. its donna jean gaudchax. anyways the hardest thing for a deadhead to do is to tell you their favorite dead song. mine changes all the time but right now im diggin on terrapin station, corrina, cassidy, and i just found a superheady jackstraw>not fade away>terrapin from 81' that has been dominating my cd player for a while now. are any of you kids into tape trading? i have 800+ hours of dead, a buncha phish, sci moe ,keller, govt mule.

My favorite is New Minglewood Blues(at least the early versions of it).
Not Fade Away is a very close second.

Mine has to be Mountains Of The Moon too... not only that song is incredibly beautiful, but it's also for sentimental reasons that it's my favorite.

I like them all but 'Turn on your lovelight' & 'Uncle John's Band' have something special for me. I think that Greatful Dead made (I am not uptodate with what the rest of the guys are doing right now) music for both the angels in the skies and the devils in hell.

    TERRAPIN STAAAAAATION!

I too, have too many favorites.....wharf rat, cc rider, cold rain & snow, and dark star are some other favorites.

But yes, favorite dead songs do change from time to time.

"Can't Come Down" and "Alice D. Millionaire" are my favorites.... I also really like "Turn On Your Lovelight" with Janis.. "Caution" from 11-3-65 is pretty damn good too.
