Do you lick it? I do that and it always work--i've been looked at strangely but people always seem to adopt that way of "fixin" skipping cds
I was just surprised the first person to respond to this was named scratcho. Really anything you can do to clear off dirt or abrasions off of CD's will help. All the data's on the other side. People do tend to be surprised and/or excited when you start licking random things.
You must be rich. When mine skip I try another cd player or use a disk cleaner. Ieven burned the CD onto my coumputer. Do you know you can make a new cd even.
If all your cd's skip - ( skip? - thats a familiar word round here ) then it's your cd player. If it's the cd then chances are your'e as bad as me at keeping them in their cases and stack them one on top of each other hoping they'll be ok.Or as with my mini disk archive of past songs I'd recorded, spill a load of beer over them and spend the next decade breaking open the cases, cleaning them and tring to rehouse them in other random cases. Its a great way to waste time.I'm sad like that - I used to pick up mangled cassettes off highways and take em back home and mend them just to see what was on there.
ha ha ha haaaa ..... I get pissed off and wipe it on my right boob , but that doesnt work. Really I rub them on my boob.... just the right one.
33 yr old something or other.. seeks couple of loving CD cleaners.. must swing to the right, but either is ok.
Holy Crap is right Mr. Crappie!! I havent seen you in ages personface!! missed ya! back on topic I usually throw them out and wait until i can afford to replace it.
I used to pick tapes up off the ground too!! even if they were strewn out all overt the place you can still play the player and run the tape over the magnet manually. i never heard of anyone licking the cd, though. i usually can wipe it clean.
I usually spend about 30 seconds swearing at the cd player, but that rarely solves the problem.... then i take it out, and wipe it on the sleeve of my sweater..... put it back, and it usually plays ok
I don't lick it, but I do have a machine that fixes my discs for me. It was a great investment since most of mine last about a week and then get scratched all to shit.
discs are so fucking stupid i think we should go back to tapes... with a tape you could just cut out the bad part and tape it all back together, winding it with a pencil.
tapes sound like shit compared to cds and on cds you can just press the button. duh. but records are the best. just wait til i get a record player in my car.
