i watched a lot of different one.. gummi bears muppet babies peewee's playhouse bump in the night snorks i forget... i'd pretty much watch anything. even if i hated it..
I had this friend that lived across the street and she'd be at my door promptly at 7am on Saturday mornings, to the dismay of my sleeping parents. *Ding ding ding* "Can Julie come out to play??" lol!
I remember when I was a kid cartoons seemed to be on all day on Saturdays. Then came nickelodeon and such. Doug, Rugrats, Cat Dog, Ren and Stimpy,..........those were funny ass cartoons.
i never understood getting up early on the one day of the week you get to sleep in to watch inferior tv... i feel like i missed out on a huge part of childhood.
I used to get up at 5 am on sunday's to watch the reruns of this show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g5suTqRMfs Hotwater
The Saturday morning cartoons now are absolutely horrendous. My own kids will rarely even watch them so it's not just that I'm getting older. I'll put them on but they end up going off and playing after a little while. That's fine, truth be told I don't really want them watching those shows anyway, I guess putting them on is simply done out of habit, remembering how much I used to look forward to Saturday mornings as a child!
Why are you all fancied up in your pic HCM? I watched Smurfs, Shirt Tales, Snorks, and some others I forget. I never got up early for it though. But my parents were potheads and slept until noon...so we had to be very quiet or they would come yell at us. SO cartoons were our option.
I remember watching Agro's Cartoon Connection as a kid. It was a greeeat show but it was cancelled in 1997 once Cheez TV started to become popular. I loved Ren and Stimpy as a kid. By the time I was around 12 I could sing the Royal Canadian Kilted Yackman song, as well as Happy Happy Joy Joy off by heart. I used to try and get up early, around 6-7am to watch Saturday Disney when I was younger, and I still try and get up early before I get ready for college just so I can watch Spongebob Squarepants. I might get older, but I wont grow up...
We went to our yearly dinner ball thingy (held by the association of people in my hubby's line of work throughout our state) this past weekend and formal dress was required. I decided to go outside of the box and wear purple, since all of the women forever wear black to those things every single year. Normally I wear black to them too, but this year I said the heck with it, I'm doing color, and since purple is one of my favorite colors...well, I went for it. Next year I might go green.
You look beautiful, hippychickmommy. I still watch cartoons. Fairly Odd Parents, Flap Jack, Chowder, Sponge Bob (love him!), Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park...
