When was the time( or times) that you felt happiest ever?

Was it because of a single event.Or just one small phase in your life?

Was it a permanent change or just something temporary?
Why did it make you feel so happy? How has it affected your life going forward?

PS yes I'll post. But not just yet...;)

well i believe it was with my ex boyfriend. we were awake all night long, just lying and talking in the bed. i remember it was beginning to light through the windows. Very soft blue light of the morning. the sheets were white , he had his long thick dreads contrasting on them. It was calm and cool in the room. I remember i was sitting on the floor right next to the bed watching him, talking to him something. Then he grabbed me and pulled me on the bed under the sheets, so very close to me i could feel his breath on my face..his hands around me, holding me making me feel hot..........and then he told me he will love me forever.

i think this was the most happy moment of my whole life....ever. i remember i felt the strongest feeling of shivers through my body.

i kinda miss that moment from times to times

I don't necessarily have a "happiest moment ever", per say, but there are certain times where I just feel absolutely content and pleased. Last night was one of those nights. About 5 or 6 friends and I were in my backyard with a huge bonfire. I live on the ocean with an acre and a half of yard, so it was pitch black, the stars out, the waves crashing on the beach with the glow of the fire lighting the area. We were all sitting around the fire passing around the bong and having a few drinks - laughing and just having a great time till about 5am. It was perfect.

The Phish reunion was another weekend that couldn't have been more perfect. I really love spending a great time with people camping, around a fire, at festivals, concerts - those are the best times I have. It's a great vibe.

The happiest I've ever been was when I was lying in bed stoned as fuck with the woman I loved and looking into her eyes and talking about random shit, or even just watching her sleep with her babies in her arms. Love will make you appreciate the simplest things:)

    GG Ahhh:) ; )

    Mine then:-

1)OK I'm probably gonna regret posting the below sentimental crap. But anyway.
I'd say it was when I first met a girl who was absolutely terrific.
It sort of made me understand what made "other people" happy.
Like how people enjoy the "little things in life".And families and stuff like that.It also meant I began to understand more about myself, my identity and things. She was foreign and it all had a "crazy" edge to it.But she was the sort of person who could have me doodling her name in Cyrillics when I was on the phone to someone else.
Changing from just looking at your own life, to thinking of planning a whole joint life with someone else is a big thing.
Sometimes some music videos and stuff send me back to that time.

Maybe I'll delete this before someone calls me a fag:blush5: ;)

^ you are so NOT a fag. that was really sweet.

i was most happy when i was a kid and oblivious to everything. and then i was happy again when i was with my boyfriend, and we went on and off and bunch of times, due to the long distance and his work. we are together (he considered us never really apart lol) again and now im very very happy :) and i agree with what you said. you really do learn a lot about yourself through the eyes of someone that cares about you. even if it doesnt work out, its always a rewarding experience.

Rio de Janeiro. 1987-1991. Age 11-15. I had great friends (with whom I keep in touch to this day). A great school. A neighborhood and city that I loved and cherished. I had a mom and a stepdad that loved me and provided for me. I played soccer non-stop. I had a sense of purpose: I was one of the strongest chess players in the country in my age group and thought I'd be a professional. And a had a little crush on a certain freckled red-headed girl. :)

i think love is a very powerful emotion, obviously. it has the supreme ability to change how you experience life. the memories are carried forever. finding that connection is rare enough that it's always cherished. enter nostalgia.

why don't we retain bad experiences into our memory stick?

aside from that, i feel pretty happy when i learn about past history/cultures/etc...not just the facts but when you read/learn/experience enough to get a insightful imagine of what it must of meant to live in that particular time. a holistic approach to the point where you can make solid conclusions and seek out less official academic opinions and go more with your developrd senses of the above said.

maybe it's the commonality i discover across all times that makes me happy. the common human emotions that are timeless. and show up in every age. idk.

then, i sometimes question the realities today and compare them to the realities of a past era. i often conclude that a lot of things today laws/culture/social conditions etc...are very abstract and meaningless. but at the same time that's just the current trend. for lack of a better word.

do anyone of you experience this? i think it's weird but i know that there are others out there that can relate.

i do retain a lot of bad memories in mine memory stick.
my grandma used to tell me that people have the tendency to remember the bad things more than they remember the good ones.
