I decided to see how many forums there were on the internet and I came across a site that lists them all.

I tried one on there and made the type of comment that I feel comfortable making here--and I got blasted by a jury of members. "nasty comment". "some things should never be said',and other comments. Felt kind of embarassed ,actually. Oh well-guess this is my home.

I'm a member of a baby forum but I would really rather come here for parenting advice....I like it here because people have a way of being both brutally honest and non-judgemental at the same time.

On my baby forum they have a way of being sugary sweet and judgemental as hell at the same time...like "i can't believe you would raise your child like that!!! But its okay, we're all women so lets just bash the fathers and hug each other"

 

That's too bad. Yeah--if you want unvarnished honesty--this is the place.

 

Parenting forums are bitchy, I am on a few and just don't bother using them now

1) that's not every internet forum. i know of at least a couple that aren't on there.

2) you made the same mistake as the last guy who posted this. hipforums isn't the #614 forum, it's the forum with the 614th highest number of posts. 757 in number of members, 1298 in post/member ratio, and 703 in alexa ranking.

 

other interesting hipforums statistics: 3 of the top 10 search engine queries bringing people to hipforums include "snowballing," "meth recipe," and "toothless woman oral."

I knew there was a HF Facebook page - given Skip isn't a fan of Facebook, I doubt it is. It's not harming anybody I guess.
