Haven't read anything good for a while, so decided to make a 'to-read' list.
These below are one of these genres: post apocalyptic s-f, s-f, cyberpunk, steampunk, horror.

Have you read any of these? Which were good and which not? Would you recommend something that I might like basing on this post?

    Here is the list:

Metro 2033 - Dmitry Gluhovsky ( sounds very interesting )
The Road - Cormac McCarthy ( haven't read any Cormacs books )
Neuromancer - William Gibson ( as above )
20000 Leagues Under The Sea - Julie Verne ( I loved 'The Mysterious Island')
The Difference Engine - Bruce Sterling & William Gibson
The Anubis Gate - Tim Powers
Snow Crash - Neal Stephenson ( mixed opinions online )
The Stand - Stephen King ( I've read many Stephens books, but not these two )
    Insomnia - Stephen King
Basilisk - Graham Masterton ( Have read some Masterton before, but not this one )
The Call of Cthulhu - H. P. Lovecraft ( Haven't read anything from Lovecraft )

When i cant decide what to read I look up the current New York Times best sellers list on google.
Generally I browse the top 10 for fiction and non fiction until something grabs my attention.
Either way, if it's on the NYT best sellers list it's gonna be good.

I'm not a big reader, probably read only about 30 books in my life but me & the enemy have caught the camping bug and got a busy camping year lined up this year so I've been avidly reading the book forum to help me decide which books to purchase and so far 2 authors intrigue me... I've decided to delve into Kurt Vonnegut... Slaughterhouse 5 & Breakfast of champions. Also I like the sound of this guy Chuck Palahnuick... Survivor, Choke and Fight Club.

So I'd like to thank in advance all the people whose posts have helped me choose :2thumbsup::2thumbsup::2thumbsup:
