We don't count Musical movie a la The Last Waltz (even if i respect the band) or other kind of gigs and concert !

I look today the superb "Almost Famous" ...but i don't think it's enough to win the tittle of Best rock n roll movie !

Have you ever seen Listzomania? It's pretty ridiculous too.

I find these ones quite enjoyable:
    200 Motels
    Yellow Submarine
    Head

    yes, festival express was grand.
has anyone seen Dig! I saw that last night - it's a doco too, about 7 years in the lives of the Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Dandy Warhols. So funny, the guys from jonestown are such drug fucked nutters, yet pretty genius too.
    it was a great film.

The Door movie was great ... i like it too but it give to Morisson a caricatural vision of the man...and too often violent even if he was never a flower bro...and we don't see enough the rest of the band and the real important Ray Manzarek... Ray was always in the shadow of Morisson ...and it's injustice...
For the rest the film is cool realll cooooool!

I think Hedwig and the angry Inch might fit into this category, also. It's fucking Hil-Ar-Ious.
