In Spanish? I learnt them easily because I lived in a Spanish speaking country: Honduras. Yet, when one is trying to learn them outside a native environment, the vosotros and all the present and past progressive forms and so on tend to confuse practically anyone.
But they are so tame - spanish has no cases, the subjunctive is really simple compared to other languages, and the gender system of nouns is easy to learn too because of the simple rules
Yup true! I'm dutch, dutch is a germanic language so swedish, german etc are easy to learn for me. dutch is a really complicated language and I know alotta people from other germanic language speaking countries do think it's difficult to learn dutch. So...yeah, it depends on where you come from.
lol, apparently the word "Native" is now considered discrimatory to the UK government. Political Correctness is getting ridiculous.
Italian... its easier than french in writing and pronunciation.. and its a way in between Spanish and French. and its very useful in the restaurants. lol... ok let's stop being patriottic.. if i lived in the US i'd probably go 4 Spanish.. even tough French is a gorgeous language and i dig it big time!!
one of my course mates studies Polish at Uni.. he says its one of the hardest language ever... he told me there are something like 30 vowels in their alphabet..
Polish doesnt sound as nice as most latin based languages. I find most eastern European languages and also Germanic languages very harsh on the ears.
German is a fantastic language.... Very technical and precise, hence why it is essential in the engineering world. Most people thik it sounds harsh, I love the tones and sounds. Much prefer it to French and other Latinate languages. Although... I'm a sucker for Portugese.
Lovelightlisa recommended Swahili earlier in the thread, and I agree! It's so easy, and with my short attention span it's what I plan on learning next.
