white rabbit- genius or waste of time?

i love that song, white arbbit, jefferson airplane are genius! but ive had a few disagreements with people over it, so whats the view gals an guys?

It's an incredible track. Don't need to say another word on the subject. Oh, actually, I will say one thing: Why oh why did those c**t's (whoever they are) have to butcher another amazing Jefferson Airplane song: Somebody to Love!?! Y'all know what I'm talkin about. That god awful dance remix.

its one of my favourite jefferson tracks ......it always reminds me of my mushroom daze

 

yeah, that was crap! and it was on all the time for ages from what i renember, grrrr god damn dance remixes!

 

My cousin left a copy of the single for me to look after when he went on his journey's. No one saw him for ten years, he then returned and checked whether I still had it.

I loved the record and still own the vinyl today.

Amusing for me today is my 10 year olds declaration that her favourite singer is Avril Lavigne and her favourite band is Jefferson Airplane, purely on the song White Rabbit.

Not that many songs are as educational.

I saw the Jefferson Starship play on the 70's previously unreleased 'Star Wars : Holiday Special' in which Chewbacca's baby son receives a box with the aforementioned band of tiny proportions within. They played some song and it was very good. However this did not change my opinion of the 45 minutes of unsubtitled wookie dialogue that proceeded it.

It was fucking awesome!

I first bought it on Vinyl when I was 16 ... that was in 1984 and it was old then.

Good track but there are some much better Airplane Tracks out there.

bending the supject a bit, i realise, but i have a fantastic video of floyd doing Astronomy Domine in the late sixties, with syd and all the oil projectors and everything - it's so good to be able to see what it was like before the band got huge.

back to topic: white rabbits good, but i prefer their more structured songs like somebody to love etc. Surrealistic Pillow is one of my fav albums though
